Tournament Poker Edge, a leading online poker training site geared toward tournament players, has brought aboard a new pro who will provide instructional videos and written content exclusively for members. David "betudontbet" Emmons has made quite a splash in the online poker tournament community in 2012 and will now be an instructor at Tournament Poker Edge.
Emmons is one of the many professional U.S. online poker players who have made the move out of the country following Black Friday in 2011. He now resides in Baja California, Mexico.
In January 2012, Emmons took down the PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker $700 buy-in Main Event for $382,856 after defeating fellow online superstar "Gettin Daize" heads up.
As of May 2012, Emmons was ranked #1 in the world among PokerStars tournament players according to Official Poker Rankings and #2 worldwide in online tournament play according to PocketFives.com.
His other online accolades include a third place showing in the PokerStars $2,100 buy-in high-stakes Spring Championship of Online Poker Super Knockout event on May 9th for $59,465, a third place effort in the PokerStars Super Tuesday for $37,000, and a runner-up performance in the PartyPoker $100,000 High Roller Sunday tournament for $29,000 in January.
Tournament Poker Edge focuses on MTT play and showcases a multitude of top-notch tournament players who can take your game to the next level regardless of whether you're a beginner, mid-stakes journeyman, or seasoned pro. Tournament Poker Edge Co-Founder Derek Tenbusch released a statement earlier this month saying, "We could not be more excited about David joining the TPE team. He is a true grinder and, as evidenced by his results, brings a great deal of experience and skill to the table."
With over $2.6 million in career online tournament cashes, Emmons has already begun to affect the games of TPE members through his inaugural "Live Sweat" series. As of May 17th, TPE had already uploaded five segments of his "Live Sweat" videos, which focus on his ability to be profitable while playing a lot of tables.
He also describes Nash Equilibrium in his first video series and explains to TPE members how it applies to poker tournament play. For customers who have high-definition capabilities, the TPE staff recommends that Emmons's first video series be viewed in HD due to the number of tables that are shown at once.
Tournament Poker Edge has quickly earned a reputation as one of the premier online poker training websites thanks to its impressive selection of video content, blogs, and pros that include Casey "bigdogpckt5s" Jarzabek, Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah, Daryl "aaaaaaaa" Jace, Ben "KidCardiff6" Warrington, Lee Childs, Nikolai "Halowax" Sears, Danny "DannyN13" Noseworthy, Brendon "Brendooor" Rubie, Marc "aznAllin007" Alioto, Jon “Wein” Wein, Charles “Hagbard Celine” Sizemore, Shaun “Cougars4444” Hendrickson, Tim “TTWIST” Kelly, Tenbusch, and “RonFezBuddy.”
There are three subscriber plans for those who want to take their online poker tournament game to the next level and subscribe to Tournament Poker Edge. The best value comes from a yearly membership, which is priced at $239.95 per year (a savings of 16%). For individuals who wish to pay quarterly, they may do so by signing up for three months at a cost of $69.95. A monthly membership costs $23.95. The most common payment method is PayPal, but TPE also provides the option to pay with a major credit card.
